About this destination

Ramtek Temple, located about 50 km from Nagpur in Maharashtra, is a revered pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Rama. Legend says that Lord Rama rested here during his exile, and the town derives its name from ‘Rama-tek’, meaning Rama’s Vow.

Perched atop a hill, the temple offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and holds great mythological, spiritual, and architectural significance.

The temple complex also includes shrines of Lord Lakshmana, Goddess Sita, and Lord Hanuman, along with numerous smaller temples dating back to the 18th century.
