Overview

About this destination

Siddhivinayak Temple at Siddhatek, located on the banks of the Bhima River in Ahmednagar district, is the second temple in the Ashtavinayak pilgrimage circuit.

It is believed that Lord Vishnu performed penance here to seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings before battling demons, earning this temple its name — Siddhivinayak, the Giver of Success.

The temple is built from black stone, featuring a beautiful shikhara and a serene riverside setting that enhances its divinity.

Devotees undertake a *pradakshina* (circumambulation) of the hill, considered highly meritorious though it spans nearly 5 km.
