The Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Temple in Dehu is one of the most sacred pilgrimage centers in Maharashtra. It is closely associated with the revered saint Sant Tukaram Maharaj, who was a key figure in the Bhakti movement. Dehu is considered his birthplace and the starting point of the famous Tukaram Palkhi Yatra to Pandharpur.
